Bering watches

When Danish businessman Rene Kaerskov jumped out of a helicopter in the icy Arctic, straight to the North Pole in 2008, he had no idea that he was parachuting down into a new era.

Because it was in that moment in time, at the safe landing at the northernmost point of the globe, that his heart was won by the cool, simple and beauty of the endless white expanse of eternal ice. Shocked by these fascinating impressions, he passed them on to his business associates back home in Denmark with his descriptions of the exquisitely magnificent landscapes of the Arctic. During long and passionate discussions, the vision for a new watch brand slowly took shape. A watch brand that would be as clean, clear and stunningly beautiful as the Arctic itself. That's when the idea for BERING Design was born.

When one name is responsible for writing history

Exactly 280 years ago, the Danish sailor Vitus Bering set out on an adventure: in 1728 he sailed into an almost unknown region of the Arctic Ocean. On his way he crossed the strait, which would later be named Bering Strait in his honor. Vitus Bering was the first European to discover Alaska and it is here that one of the four time zones bears his name, known as the Bering Time Belt!

Stepping into a new land, delving into unknown territory, the Danes Vitus Bering and Rene Kaerskoy connect the idea of the BERING brand. This is the only way in which a vision can become a reality. And just like that, the BERING brand is successfully put together by the perfect combination of extremely dense materials in an extremely flat design.
